Hello and thanks for visiting! This is where you will find all information pertaining to Laszlo's roles at High Tech High Chula Vista, from Education Specialist to Outdoor Leadership Training (OLT) and his work as a 10th grade humanities teacher. Our team, the Action Faction, will embark on a series of projects this year designed to inspire, encourage complex thinking and above all, call students to action! Here you can find information about our projects, resources for other teachers, homework and project calendars, as well as a class blog.
Also, are you interested in adventures and the great outdoors?! I'd like to make a plug for the after school backpacking program I run with the amazing Anna Santoleri. This is open to all students throughout the year, so please let me know if you're interested! Check out our website here.

Welcome to the humanities portion of the Action Faction! I am very excited to work with you all as we embark on a year of personal and academic growth, and I look forward to creating a close community within our pods and team. It is my hope for all of you this year to be intellectually curious, fearlessly open-minded and proactive in both our projects and class environment. We (myself included) will all experience moments of comfort and discomfort, success and setbacks, but as a team we will focus on ways in which to better and appreciate ourselves, and the world around us. The beauty of combining history and english into one class is that we have limitless opportunities to combine fact, fiction and theory into fruitful projects for our communities.
Some of our project themes this year will be serious, controversial and at times difficult to analyze without preconceived notions or bias. As part of your ongoing growth as students and humans, you will be encouraged to absorb and evaluate new perspectives that may be different from your own. These may present themselves in the form of readings, writing assignments, seminars, current events or other class routines we develop throughout the year. We want to emphasize our commitment to projects that facilitate real world connections and solutions to the issues we examine, in an effort to stay true to the following guiding principles of our team and year:

- Be invested. Be aware of your role in affecting various communities. Understand the balance between your needs and the needs of those around you.
- Be uncomfortable. Take risks, embrace differences, be open-minded, and push through your fear.
- Take action. Each day, whatever “it” is, leave “it” better than you found it. Advocate and be the change!
